Paddle Wheel Ferry - Kentucky
Very likely the Valley View Ferry is the only workboat in America that is entitled to fly two state flags at the same time. Its charter was signed in 1785 by Gov. Patrick Henry of Virginia before Kentucky became a state. Therefore the boat flys both state flags.

For 16 days in 2010, Lexington Kentucky will host the World Equestrian Games. As we draw near to that event, the Kentucky Horse Park, our city and our community are changing. A gun fight broke out between two men in Lexington Kentucky today in an otherwise normally quiet suburban neighborhood. A mother holding her child was wounded. Also wounded were both men involved in the fight. One man is believed to be the father to the wounded womans child, the other man her current boyfriend.
