Paddle Wheel Ferry - Kentucky
Very likely the Valley View Ferry is the only workboat in America that is entitled to fly two state flags at the same time. Its charter was signed in 1785 by Gov. Patrick Henry of Virginia before Kentucky became a state. Therefore the boat flys both state flags.
This is last ferry in service on the Kentucky River. For almost 250 years the Valley View Ferry has transported the pioneers to the west, Revolutionary & Civil war soldiers to battle, and today it shows no sign of
